AREA SALES MANAGER, BENELUX - COMPONENTS

NGI is seeking an ambitious and outgoing Area Sales Manager to join their Components-division and strengthen their presence in the Benelux region.
As part of a dedicated and high-performing international sales team, you are responsible for growing and maintaining a well-established customer base across the Netherlands and Belgium.
This is a hands-on, field-based role where you spend most of your time visiting customers — primarily machine builders in the food industry — to build relationships, identify new opportunities, and promote NGI’s hygienic and innovative solutions. You work closely with the Sales & Team Leader for Components, located in Denmark, and collaborate with colleagues across Europe.
The Benelux market is one of NGI’s most important regions, representing a solid customer base and strong growth potential. You take over a significant existing portfolio and are instrumental in driving new business while increasing NGI’s market share and customer loyalty.
Your responsibilities and Key Tasks:
- Manage and develop NGI’s customer portfolio across the Benelux region, focusing on both existing accounts and new business opportunities
- Conduct proactive outreach and field sales visits approximately four days per week
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with machine builders and decision-makers
- Drive cross-sales and ensure a broader product footprint with current customers
- Identify, qualify, and convert new prospects into loyal customers
- Manage the entire sales process — from prospecting and product trials to proposal, negotiation, and closing
- Maintain structured CRM documentation and a data-driven sales pipeline
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking activities as a brand ambassador for NGI.
You have a strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to create value through consultative sales. You have experience working with technical solutions or components, preferably selling to machine builders or within related industries. You are comfortable managing the entire sales process independently — from identifying new prospects and initiating product trials to preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and closing agreements.
You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Dutch, enabling you to engage confidently with customers and colleagues alike. A structured and analytical thinker, you take a data-driven approach to sales and are motivated by achieving measurable results. You are well-organized, capable of managing a diverse customer portfolio, and skilled at balancing travel, planning, and follow-up activities efficiently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Microsoft 365 supports your ability to maintain an accurate and transparent sales pipeline.
You are a self-motivated and results-oriented professional who thrives in an international and dynamic environment. You take pride in delivering value to customers and are driven by achieving tangible results.
With a natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships, you are outgoing, collaborative, and enjoy engaging with people across all organizational levels. You work in a structured and strategic manner, able to plan and prioritize effectively while maintaining focus on both short-term goals and long-term objectives.
You show resilience and adaptability, maintaining a positive attitude even when faced with challenges or change. Independent and proactive by nature, you seize opportunities and take initiative to drive success. Above all, you combine commercial insight with genuine customer focus, ensuring that every interaction contributes to strengthening NGI’s reputation as a trusted, value-creating partner.
NGI offers you a dynamic, supportive, and professional work environment characterized by strong teamwork and high job satisfaction. You will join a company recognized as a value-creating partner in hygienic design, offering innovative and sustainable solutions to the food and pharmaceutical industries.
The position comes with a competitive salary, attractive bonus scheme, pension plan, company car, and private mobile phone.
At NGI, dedication and effort are rewarded, and collaboration across teams and borders is part of everyday life.
