AREA SALES MANAGER, DACH, DRIVETECH

Do you want to drive growth and build strong customer relationships in an innovative, global company at the forefront of hygienic design and sustainable technology?
NGI DriveTech develops and delivers world-class drum motor solutions that enhance reliability, improve food safety, and reduce operational costs for customers across the food, pharmaceutical, and automation industries.
To strengthen the presence in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) NGI is now looking for an Area Sales Manager — a proactive, technically skilled, and commercially driven professional with a passion for creating value through strong customer partnerships and measurable results.
Your Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
- Responsible for developing NGI DriveTech’s market position and driving sales activities across the region, with focus on building long-term relationships and identifying new business opportunities,
- Developing and expanding the customer base within the DACH region, in line with NGI DriveTech’s growth ambitions,
- Managing the full sales cycle — from prospecting and Lead generation to negotiation, closing, and follow-up,
- Presenting and promoting NGI DriveTech’s high-quality solutions with strong technical and commercial insight,
- Building and maintaining close customer relationships, primarily with machine builders and automation partners,
- Identifying upselling and reselling opportunities to strengthen long-term cooperation and growth,
- Collaborating closely with Sales Support and Application Engineering teams to ensure seamless customer service,
- Structuring and prioritizing daily sales activities in line with company goals and CRM processes,
- Participating in customer visits, industry fairs, and events (approx. 40+ travel days per year).
You have a technical or commercial degree - a bachelor’s in technology management, Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage - combined with 3–5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, ideally within automation, mechanical, or industrial systems. You have a solid understanding of production systems, such as conveyor belts, drum motors, and control systems, enabling you to translate complex technical needs into efficient customer solutions.
You are a confident communicator who can convincingly present and negotiate, both in German and English, and you are comfortable working across different customer types and cultures. Strong IT skills — including MS Office and CRM systems (Microsoft 365 or similar) are also required.
You are a customer-focused, result-oriented, and independent professional with a strong sense of ownership. You enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment where teamwork, accountability, and ambition go hand in hand. You communicate with confidence and credibility, and you naturally build trust and rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
You thrive on challenges, stay focused under pressure, and always see opportunities where others might see obstacles. With your driven, structured, and collaborative mindset, you take pride in achieving goals and creating lasting business value for both customers and NGI DriveTech.
NGI offers you to become part of a forward-thinking and globally oriented company that values innovation, responsibility, and collaboration. You will join a dedicated and professional team based in Nørresundby, Denmark, working with high-quality, sustainable products that make a real difference for customers in the food and automation industries.
You can expect:
- A dynamic and inspiring work environment, where you have the freedom to influence your own results and contribute to NGI’s ambitious growth journey.
- A key role in a company with strong values and global ambitions
- Close collaboration with skilled and supportive colleagues across departments
- Opportunities for professional and personal development in an expanding business area
- A competitive compensation package, including a base salary and a performance-based bonus scheme
- An open, respectful, and international culture where dedication and curiosity are recognized and rewarded.
