Nammo is establishing a new, state-of-the-art defense production facility in Denmark as part of its expanding European footprint. To lead this journey, we are seeking an experienced and commercially strong Managing Director (MD) to take full responsibility for Nammo Denmark A/S.

This is a unique opportunity to build, lead and shape a company of strategic importance, operating in a highly regulated and politically exposed defense industry.

The role – from establishment to long-term growth

Key stakeholders include:

• Direct reporting to the Board of Directors

• EVP´s of two business units

• Close collaboration with EVPs of the Business Units, Corporate Legal and Senior Vice President, Business Development

• Close cooperation with the project organization

A Site Manager will be responsible for daily operations at the factory, allowing the MD to focus on strategy, governance and external relations. The role does not require permanent presence at the factory; significant parts of the role are expected to be centered around the political environment and external stakeholder relations.

As Managing Director, you are the top authority for Nammo in Denmark and act as President to the Board of Directors. You operate at the intersection of strategy, governance and stakeholder management within a complex, international organization.

The role spans two distinct phases:

Phase 1 – Establishment and project phase

In the initial phase, you play a central leadership role in the establishment of the Danish organization and production facility. While you are not the project manager, you work closely with the project organization and key stakeholders to ensure strong governance, regulatory compliance and readiness for operations. A strong local presence and active engagement with authorities, defense stakeholders and the surrounding business community are key to success in this phase.

Phase 2 – Operations, development and growth

Once production is underway, the role evolves towards strategic leadership and business development. With a Site Manager responsible for day-to-day operations, your focus shifts to developing the business beyond the initial contract, contributing to strategic investment decisions and positioning Denmark as a key part of Nammo’s Nordic and European defense value chain.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead and develop Nammo Denmark with full P&L responsibility

• Act as the legal representative of the company in Denmark

• Build and maintain strong relationships with authorities, defense stakeholders and strategic partners

• Ensure robust governance, compliance and security standards

• Contribute to strategic decisions on investments, capacity and future growth
